Gifted

"Gifted" means students who perform or show potential for performing at remarkabley high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience or environment and who are identified under division(A), (B), (C), or (D) of section 3324.03 of the Ohio Revised Code.  Gifted and talented students need differentiatied curriculum  and support services in order to fully develop their abilities.  Gifted services are based on the student's area(s) of identification.  Students are given gifted services in a full pull out program administered by a licensed gifted intervention specialist.  The goals of the program are for the students to learn through an advanced curriculum which will develop the strategies of inquiry, vocabulary study, higher level thinking and questioning, and research.  Gifted Services may include instruction during the regular school day.  The instruction may be provided in large groups, small groups, and/or individually in a variety of setings including, grade acceleration, early entrance, resource room, and cluster. Call, Cindy
