Home Education Resource InformationHome education requests are processed by the Brown County Educational Service Center. Requests are processed for Fayetteville Perry Local School District, Western Brown Local School District, Eastern Brown Local School District, and Ripley Union Huntington Local School District.
Completed notification forms are forwarded to the Brown County Educational Service Center for review, per the requirements of the state of Ohio for home education.
Notification should be provided no later than the first week of the start of the public school building the child would attend in the school district of residenceor within one week from the child's withdrawal from a school.
Incomplete or improperly completed forms will cause a delay in the process.
Please note: Failure to notify the school district of residence the family is homeschooling its child or children will result in truancy.
Parents agree to:1. Provide 900 hours of instruction per year;
2. Notify the superintendent every year; and
3. Provide an assessment of the students work, this link:
